This issue is dedicated to current research in the synthesis, modification, and application of novel functional materials, thermodynamics of multicomponent systems, as well as the development of modern methods for chemical analysis, environmental monitoring, and the design of biologically active substances. A special section of this volume is dedicated to the 90th birth anniversary of the prominent physical chemist, Professor Georgiy Ivanovych Batalin, highlighting the significant achievements of the Department of Physical Chemistry.
The volume features key studies on the thermodynamic properties, structure, and phase formation kinetics of liquid alloys (particularly those containing aluminum, silicon, lanthanides, and noble metals), alongside the physicochemical characteristics of multicomponent slag systems used in welding technologies. It highlights the development of semiconductor and zeolite-based gas-sensitive sensor materials, novel carbon-supported catalytic systems, and the electrochemical behavior of non-aqueous electrolytes. Significant attention is also paid to the targeted design of binuclear pyrazole-containing ligands for enzymatic inhibition, simulation of homogeneous crystallization processes, and the formation of metastable states of substances.
