This issue is dedicated to current research in the synthesis, modification, and application of novel functional materials, thermodynamics of multicomponent systems, as well as the development of modern methods for chemical analysis, environmental monitoring, and the design of biologically active substances.
The volume highlights the design and evaluation of catalytic and sensor materials, specifically loaded oxide systems for carbon monoxide oxidation and long-term stable hydrogen adsorption semiconductor sensors. It features studies on the synthesis of high-temperature superconductors, metal-containing supramolecular composites of fullerene, and coordination complexes of uranyl and zirconium. A substantial portion of the issue is focused on polymer chemistry, including photoconductive copolymers and the radical polymerization of functional methacrylates. Great practical value lies in the investigations of phase separation in surfactant systems and the development of highly sensitive sorption and cloud-point extraction methods for the concentration and determination of heavy and toxic metals (such as thallium, mercury, iron, and platinum-group metals) to benefit environmental monitoring and industrial analysis.
