This issue is dedicated to current research in the field of synthesis, modification, and application of new functional materials, development of modern methods of chemical analysis, and creation of biologically active substances. The papers discuss the synthesis of pyridine-substituted amino acids, the preparation of coumarin derivatives, and the modeling of thermodynamic properties of ternary system melts. The regularities of precipitation copolymerization, kinetic parameters of monomers, and polystyrene thermal stabilization processes are highlighted. Special attention is paid to the photovoltaic properties of bis-azomethines, the diffraction efficiency of polarization holograms based on azobenzene chromophores, and new approaches in voltammetric, fluorimetric, and sorption-spectroscopic determination of micro-amounts of elements and ions using modified electrodes and silica gels.
