This issue is dedicated to current research in the field of synthesis, modification, and application of new functional materials, development of modern methods of chemical analysis, and creation of biologically active substances. The papers discuss the synthesis of novel heterocyclic systems, acrylonitriles, isoindoles, and electrophilic substitution in imidazopyridinium salts. The regularities of the sol-gel synthesis of cuprate solid solutions, the structure of substituted vanadates, and modeling of thermodynamic properties of liquid alloys are highlighted. Special attention is paid to ruthenium-nitrosyl complexes as nitric oxide donors, HTSC materials, gas sensors based on modified oxide nanomaterials, and cloud point preconcentration of amlodipine from biological liquids. A special paper in this issue marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the prominent chemist F. S. Babichev.
