This issue is dedicated to current research in the synthesis, modification, and application of novel functional materials, coordination chemistry of polynuclear systems, as well as the development of modern methods for studying magnetic properties and the design of molecular magnets.
The volume highlights carbacylamidophosphates of metals as structural building blocks for the design of polynuclear coordination compounds, the hierarchical self-assembly of nano-sized exchange clusters, and novel approaches to the synthesis of heteropolynuclear complexes. Significant attention is paid to high-spin coordination compounds of 3d-metals as perspective molecular magnets, ferromagnetic complexes of azomethine ligands, and the coordination chemistry of metals with amines, amides, hydrazides, and hydrazones. A special focus is placed on the application of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy to study spin-spin interactions between Cu(II) atoms in polynuclear complexes.
